Acadia Summer Music Camp - July 2-8, 2023

Acadia University’s Summer Music Camp will take place from Sunday, July 2 to Saturday, July 8, 2023. Join us for a week-long intensive program for musicians currently in grade 5 and above in school. All musical styles are welcome!

We offer programming for all performance levels, including:

  • a beginner band program for students interested in learning an instrument with no previous experience
  • a community music program for adult musicians of all performance levels.

We welcome student musicians who play the following instruments:

Woodwind Instruments

  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Oboe
  • Bassoon
  • Saxophone

Brass Instruments

  • Trumpet
  • French Horn
  • Trombone
  • Euphonium
  • Tuba

Drums and Percussion

Electric Guitar

Piano
Acadia will be offering a special piano weekend intensive this spring from Friday, May 5 to Sunday, May 7. For more information on the School of Music Piano intensive, please visit the Acadia School of Music. Pianists are welcome at the Acadia Summer Music Academy if they play one of the above instruments.


Students will participate in small and large ensembles. They will receive coaching on their instrument throughout the week. The camp will also feature several faculty concerts and culminate in a student concert on Saturday, July 8 at 2pm at the Festival Theatre.

We are thrilled to have a mixture of new and returning faculty joining us this year. Our faculty team, led by our new Musical Director, Tristan De Borba, have been working together to develop a new curriculum for our campers that we are really excited about.
