Camp Counselor

We are looking for outgoing, energetic and highly motivated people to work with very talented youth staying at Acadia during our Summer Music Academy in July. You are very interested in providing youth with positive role models in a safe and inspiring learning environment. Your special talents and qualities will make this an exciting and unique experience for youth. For more information about the program, please visit summermusic.acadiau.ca

Qualifications: You have completed at least one year of university. Students who have just finished Grade 12 will be considered if you have strong previous camp experience. You have excellent communication and leadership skills. You are also innovative, a creative problem solver, a team player, and enjoy the challenges presented when working with youth in a residential setting. Previous camp work experience preferred.

Dates: July 2- July 8.

Counselors should also be available for 5 hours of online training during the week before camp (June 26-30).

Salary: $500/week plus room and board in residence during the Camp (July 2-8)

Positions available: 10

Junior Counselor

We are looking for outgoing, energetic and highly motivated people to work with very talented youth staying at Acadia during our Summer Music Academy in July.  The Junior Counselor is a position for Camp participant so you must be registered (with residence) for the Acadia Summer Music Academy to apply for this position. This camp gives you experience that can help you to become a full counselor in the future.

Qualifications: You must be registered for camp as a participant and currently be in grade 12 or 11 (or older). You have excellent communication and leadership skills. You are also innovative, a creative problem solver, a team player, and enjoy the challenges presented when working with youth in a residential setting. Previous camp work experience preferred.

Dates: July 2- July 8, 2023. The Jr. Counselor should also be available for 5 hours of online training during the week before camp (June 26-30).

Salary: $150/week (July 2-8)

Positions available: 2-3
